Keith Thompson
responsible for financial, management and regulatory reporting, financial planning, budgetary control and internal controls, while providing financial counsel when required and act as a business advisor to Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
Keith Thompson is the Financial Controller at Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) and was appointed in March 2018.
Mr. Thompson has over 30 years experience in performing audits and preparing financial statements for different business organizations in various industries such as telecommunication, manufacturing, brewery, construction, finance, statutory bodies, service industries, and tertiary institutions. Additionally, he has worked extensively in other Caribbean territories and more recently throughout the OECS.
During his career, he also provided consultancy service in designing and developing accounting systems and internal controls. He has proven success in improving internal controls and reducing financial and operational risk.
Prior to joining SLASPA, Keith served as the Regional Audit Manager for a leading company in the hospitality industry and was responsible for leading a team that provided support and independent oversight regarding managements’ compliance with policy and industry regulations.
Keith is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). He has successfully completed certification in Professional Ethics Module (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), International Financial Reporting Standards (Certified Financial Professionals Inc) and Financial Statement Fraud (The Institute of Internal Auditors).
