We are here to meet your cargo needs

Port Vieux Fort

Port Vieux Fort is strategically located in the heart of Saint Lucia’s Industrial Frontier, Vieux Fort. Only a few minutes away from the Hewanorra International Airport, the goods distribution Free Zone and the Vieux fort Industrial Estate, this port is an attractive option for cargo liners coming from the Southern Caribbean.  Endless opportunity to be rediscovered is what aptly describes Port Vieux Fort. As a result of its location, the port is primarily used as a trans-shipment port for the island.

History
In the 1940s Port Vieux was primarily a sole finger pier which was constructed to serve as a US Naval facility and a transit shed. From 1972 to 1982 the facility was run by a department of what was the Saint Lucia Port Authority. Port Vieux Fort was also managed by  a subsidiary of SLASPA, Saint Lucia Marine Terminals,  however the port is now fully managed by SLASPA
