Mrs. Irene Ena St. Croix was appointed as the new Senior Manager - Human Resources on July 10th, 2023. She has over 20 years of extensive experience in the field of Human Resources. Mrs. St. Croix brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our dynamic team. Her proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies, fostering a positive organizational culture, and enhancing employee engagement will be invaluable assets to SLASPA.
As the Senior Manager of Human Resources, Mrs. St. Croix will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR function, including talent acquisition, performance management, training and development, employee relations, and fostering a workplace environment that prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her passion for people development and commitment to excellence align perfectly with SLASPA's core values, as such, we are confident that her leadership will contribute significantly to the growth and success of our organization."
Mrs. St. Croix held prominent HR leadership roles in public and private sectors, within various Ministries and Departments driving positive change and facilitating strategic HR initiatives. She served in various portfolios with the public service such as First Clerk of Court at the Family Court, Human Resource Specialist at the Customs and Excise Department; Chief Personnel Officer/Director HRM at the Ministry of the Public Service; Assistant Comptroller/Administration and HR at the Inland Revenue Department and Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister.
Prior to joining SLASPA, she served as Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister. These engagements were served over a period of 35 years of public service to the government and people of St. Lucia. Following her public service career, she served as Human Resource Manager at Medical Associates Ltd./Tapion Hospital.
Mrs. Irene St. Croix holds an MSc Degree in Human Resource Management and Training from the University of Leicester, a BSc Degree in Management (Major) and Government (Minor) from the University of the West Indies and a Certificate in Project Management from the University of the West Indies. She is also a Chartered Director with the Caribbean Governance Training Institute.
